An adaptable solution

  • Warranty management module has been designed with the flexibility to adapt to different manufacturer and brand specific rules and technical coding.
  • Related tables allow fault and defect codes to be defined and VIN masking ensures the correct labour operation times are associated with the correct vehicle.

Increased efficiency and cost controls

  • Warranty controllers have complete control over the system.
  • Error checks can be defined using simple logic statements and automatic decision rules allow claims to be filtered for manual checking.
  • Systemised validation means that high volumes of claims can be processed automatically.

Auditing and reports

  • Audit controls and standard reports are provided to highlight exceptions by fault analysis, dealer and model range with highest cost or claim frequency being reported.
  • Dealer corrections are shadowed to provide the controller with full visibility of changes made.

Multi-currency

  • Dealer claims in multiple currencies can be processed with reporting against the importer base. Supplier claims are processed in supplier currency.
  • Autoline IMS Warranty Management allows centralised warranty claim processing across several markets or it used at a manufacturing base to process claims from export markets.

Warranty terms

  • Warranty terms can be defined by vehicle type/model range from a specific date allowing easy reaction to changing market conditions.
  • Terms can be defined by fault area such as paint/body work, engine/transmission and consumable items such as batteries

Goodwill authorisation

  • Autoline IMS provides dealer on-line processing of ‘prior work approval’ and goodwill assistance requests.
  • Warranty controllers can split decisions between the Importer, dealer and manufacturer by percentage or monetary value.
  • A goodwill database and decision matrix can be maintained to allow automatic decisions for goodwill requests for known failure items.

Dealer communications

  • Claims are transmitted electronically or may be maintained directly via IMS Exchange (web-based Dealer Connect).
  • Dealers can enquire on-line to update the status of claims or process any corrections.

Claim progress database

  • The complete claim lifecycle is tracked in a single database with status enquiry and visibility from a single claim maintenance screen.
  • A single view shows the total number and value of claims decided for dealers or outstanding with manufacturers.
  • Data is filtered by dealer or region using a simple claim history enquiry mechanism.

Financial analysis

  • Each claim contains a complete financial analysis with summarised dealer and manufacturer differentials.
  • Dealer and supplier currency values are stored and converted to base currency for accurate reporting and analysis.
  • Supplier payments are recorded against each claim or labour and parts line. Individual sealer payment terms can be defined for labour and parts payments.

Recall campaign management

  • A separate campaign VIN file is created for each recall or service campaign.
  • Template repair instructions are set up for simplified claim processing.
  • Customer contact tools and contact history records are maintained within the CRM system.
  • Standard reports and analysis is provided meeting manufacturer requirements.
